How to Get More Retweets, Exposure, Traffic and Sales on Twitter

So far this week, I have shown you:

However, that’s not going to generate you traffic, leads and sales. You need to do more to get to Twitter stardom!

The real magic is in how you deal with your followers and how you use Twitter on a daily basis to get the results that you want.

Having thousands of followers will not do anything for your business if you don’t know what to do with them.

Attracting targeted Twitter followers would be pointless if you don’t implement the right strategies to get them to buy from you or do whatever you want them to do.

A lot of people have sadly given up on Twitter. Why?

They don’t know how to use it. They find it very noisy and ineffective.

Have you ever wondered why other marketers use this marketing tool with great results?

The answer is simple – they have mastered the art of engaging with their followers the right way, using very little-known strategies and incredible tools.

There is no other way around it.

If you’re not generating leads and sales on Twitter, then you’re missing out on a massive opportunity to build a successful business using this tool.

Twitter is growing massively and you need to make it part of your social media marketing, if you’re not already.

So….

  • What do you do with your followers?
  • How do you interact with your followers?
  • What strategies and tools can you use to make your Twitter marketing efforts a success?
  • How do you get extra helping hands to expand your brand and gain more exposure, on auto pilot?
  • How do you generate leads and make sales on Twitter?

Want to know how I do these things and more for maximum results?

Awesome post, Mavis. You’re right. To successfully attract leads and sales on Twitter, you’ve to master the art of engaging with your followers the right way. One of the ways I do that is to send a welcome message to all my followers inviting them to add me as a friend on Facebook. When they do, I’m able to give them that one-on-one attention by asking them questions to figure out how I can help them achieve their business goals. That’s the key to success in business. Find a need and fill it.

Hi Mavis, I’ve heard different schools of thought. Some people say that it’s best to take them to a place they feel it’s safe(like Facebook) and then from there you can drive them to your blog. I’ll try your suggestion and see how it works out.

Thanks.

Mavis you brought up very interesting points. Most people only focus on getting thousands of followers. As you stated having many followers will not generate sales. I think some marketers find it difficult to build relationships on twitter because your only allowed 140 followers. I learned that twitter is a great tool for driving traffic to other sites.

Great stuff Mavis. Twitter seems to have peaked in a lot of people’s eyes. I admit I don’t try to engage as much as I probably should, but I’m sure there are still plenty of benefits still lying around in Twitter world waiting to be discovered and mastered.

Too many businesses jump into social media expecting to see results quickly. This is never going to happen if you don’t use the medium correctly. Social media may be “free” but it takes time and resources. Like any other marketing strategy, you need to go in with a plan and set goals.

Yes Mavis you have hit the nail on the head. I used to be one of these people using software to build a massive Twitter following (I had over 100K followers combined at one stage on multiple accounts), but I hardly even made a dollar out of it. All I knew how to do was spam people with my biz op links back then.

I think there are a lot of people trying to do this, and I came to the conclusion that spamming on Twitter is an absolute waste of time.

I now only follow people that I know or people I am interested in, and I only post tweets that offer value to people. I now much prefer Twitter to Facebook and think it is a brilliant tool if you learn how to use it properly.

I have always been quite weak in marketing through twitter because I really seem to not be able to express my thoughts through 140 words, although I know engagement is everything in twitter, it is really hard for me. Never the less, I am trying to get to know and use twitter more. Thanks a lot for this post because you certainly have provided some great tips.
