P.S. Most people are NOT achieving anywhere near the success they had hoped for when they started their network marketing business. They give up very quickly and fail to follow through their goals. Are YOU one of them? Discover the proven to work marketing strategies and mindset skills towards network marketing success!

In the world of home based business, MLM stands for multi level marketing. Sometimes it is also referred to as network marketing. Companies use this marketing strategy to put together a marketing and a sales force. When the task force either sells a product or brings in someone to join the sales team, then they are compensated by the company for their work. Sometimes when you search for the term “MLM” online, you may very well see the first few returned results say “MLM scam”. This is probably due to the fact that while some people are able to succeed in MLM and make big money, many people cannot. And that is probably where those search results are coming from.

In order to succeed in MLM, you have to be committed to putting in both the time and effort needed to make it work for you. Otherwise it would just be a waste of time. You have to want to stick with the programme for the long term if you are ever going to see the results you want. Yeah, you will more than likely make money in your first month with the programme, although it will most likely be a fairly small amount. If you are just out looking for a get rich quick endeavor, then keep looking. Well, there is no get rich quick scheme that works, but that’s another story.

If you are going to succeed in MLM, then there are some steps you can follow. One of the most important things you can do with MLM is to generate your own leads. This means you are dealing with the actual interested people, giving them value and attracting them to you. In order to generate leads, there are several avenues you can take and I will discuss a couple of them.

Are You Branding And Positioning Yourself As A Leader?

by Mavis Nong on September 14, 2009

Are you still doing what your upline told you to do when you first signed up in your MLM company – write a list of all your family and friends, talk to everyone you bump into, organise a home or hotel meeting, buy leads from leads vendors and so on?? If you are, you are in for a rude awakening my friend!

It’s true, most network marketers are taught to push their company brand forward. They use their company replicated websites, which are not effective as they do not promote the distributors but the company and products. Furthermore, they put people off and do not set you apart from your fellow distributors.

So, it’s important to brand yourself as a leader and stand out from the crowd. In fact, this is a foundation for your business success. There is no one like you in the entire world – take advantage of that and rise above the noise.

Have you ever wondered why most people are NOT achieving anywhere near the success they had hoped for when they started their home business? The growing problem in the network marketing industry is that people give up very quickly and fail to follow through their goals.

In order to realise your dreams, you should always remain hopeful and optimistic even if things aren’t turning out exactly the way you had expected. Let me share my personal story with you, to illustrate what I mean:

When I started in my MLM business, I was very determined and committed to succeed. I gave the business my all. I was your dream distributor! However, like most network marketers, things didn’t turn out as expected, although I did everything my upline had taught me to do (warm list, hotel meetings, flyers etc.).

The ONE Thing You Have Got To Have To Succeed!

by Mavis Nong on August 21, 2009

Why do so many people in this industry quit? Well, you could say “they didn’t plug in,” or that “they didn’t become a product lover,” or that “they didn’t
have the self-discipline.” Sure you could say that. But I’d like to go a little deeper…

Now you have attracted prospects to your business, so what do you do with them? Do you really have to spend time coaching them? The answer may seem obvious, yet many networkers ignore this important part of building a business and get this wrong.

When I first got involved in network marketing, I had no experience at all and I was assured that I would receive ongoing training and coaching. Unfortunately, a few months down the road, I discovered that everything that I was taught was completely wrong – not a happy discovery! I quit! The fact of the matter is that if you don’t give your prospects support and proper training, they will get stuck and may quit in no time. However, this doesn’t mean holding them by their hands as they also need to play their part.

This brings me to next point. Don’t make the mistake that many MLM’ers make – recruiting every person they bump into, whether they are interested in starting a business or not. When you recruit people who are not right for your business, you are going to spend a lot of time chasing them, trying to motivate them as they will not be producing. What good is this gonna do to your business?

Now you have started your network marketing business and want to know how to promote it so you can attract qualified prospects to join you in your business opportunity as well as buy your products or services. In order to build your network marketing business effectively, you need to use both online and offline marketing strategies. The traditional MLM marketing methods are no longer effective and that explains why people are still struggling in this industry.

But there is one thing that has to be said before you start marketing your business. You MUST stop promoting your network marketing business and promote yourself as a leader and the expert instead. People will stay away from you when you start selling to them directly.

You have started a home business, how is it going?

Many people start their home business with just having a hope that they will succeed. Some people get into a home business with a get-rich-quick mentality and don’t realise that success in network marketing comes with hard work. Network marketing takes more than just signing up and letting things happen.

Many people are told by their upline, that building a home business is easy. You just need to make a list of people you know, talk to ten people a day, attend meetings and so on and you will be off to financial freedom. The truth is, those who are in an MLM business know how that turns out!

Are you still approaching your family, friends and strangers about your business opportunity? Not, in this day and age!

When I joined my previous MLM company, I was trained that EVERYONE I knew and bumped into was my target market. Looking back, that was absolutely ridiculous! Is everyone interested in building a home business?

A fact is, NOT everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. Some people are content with their circumstances and don’t have the motivation, drive and persistence to build a real long-term home business.
