Video marketing is very powerful as the search engines love video content, Google in particular. And it’s highly effective as it can put you in front of millions of viewers and drive targeted traffic to your business, at no cost to you!
Now, the key to ranking high in Google’s organic (free) search results is to get your videos optimised properly. You want your business to get noticed, right? Then add videos to your marketing arsenal and attract qualified prospects to your business.
Since Google is interested in relevancy, it uses the speech to text software to determine whether the audio within your video is relevant. So, it’s important to use the relevant keywords in the audio within your videos in order for them to grab top positions in the search results.
The best way to go about this is to write a script for your video, following the same keyword principles when writing an article — use your keyword in the first couple of sentences, sparingly throughout your video and in the end. Google’s speech to text software uses the same algorithms for written text.
Don’t expect the same results if you’re just using background music
The keyword-rich audio within your videos can have an effect on how they are viewed and ranked on the search engines. Your videos will stand a much better chance of being shown on the first page of Google than your written content.
Here’s how to optimise your videos to increase your chances of success even further:
1)Put keywords into your video filenames,
2) Upload your videos on YouTube – owned by Google,
3) Use your keywords in your title, description and tags,
4) Use keyword-rich captions and annotations,
5) Embed your videos on your website/blog to maximise views,
6) Create backlinks to your videos to get good rankings,
7) Create a video library on your site, so Google knows where to find your video content.

Well I certainly agree with the other posters – good information. I probably shouldn't be, but I am amazed that Google uses software to determine the words in the video. How on earth do you know stuff like that? How does anyone but Google employees know that? How does stuff like that makes it way into blog posts? I am just very curious.
