How To Resolve The Facebook Feeds Limit

by Mavis Nong on October 27, 2009

You may not have realised this yet, but the new Facebook format is blocking all of your friends’ news feeds except for only 250 that they randomly choose. Would you like to only see the selected 250 friends’ feeds? I wouldn’t!…

Here’s how to fix this to get things back to normal…

TO UNDO BLOCK:

1. Go to FB Home Page.

2. Choose “Live Feed.”

3. Scroll to the bottom & click ” Edit Options.”

4. You will then see your “News Feed Settings.” Change the 250 to 5000, which is Facebook’s friend limit, and your feed will work correctly again. (The amount can be changed to anything up to 5000)

5. Copy and Paste this and pass it on!

If you just want to return your home page to the status view, as it was before:

1. Go to top left of home page.

2. Click on “more” tab.

3. Find “status updates” tab

4. Click on it.

Hope this helps. Happy marketing!

this is a great help.. there are people i know asking me about this and glad that you posted something about fb feeds..

i'll let them know about it..
I hope that fb have something like- for instance, you only want this particular set of peiople to be the ones who will get to see your updates and your other friends will not see those… it's like puting a limit on something, to have some privacy, sort of..

Mavis, thanks a ton for this great information. I am glad I came across this post. I always thought, that it was a bit unfair for just the selected feeds to appear, now I know what to do.
