I want to believe that you have heard a LOT about Empower Network…
…unless you have been living under a rock.
Everyone seems to think that it is the best thing since sliced bread.
Let’s get one thing straight, I’m not here to try and get you to join this platform.
This is a different review. Very different.
You see, since this system came on to the scene, I have been pitched a thousand times – I’m not kidding!
I keep receiving endless messages everywhere (emails, Skype, social media, you name it!). It’s driving me nuts!
The painful reality is, this is a common problem. I’ve heard from a few people that they also get bombarded with unending spammy messages about Empower Network.
Attraction Marketing
Attraction Marketing is the most powerful concept that you can use in your business to attract laser-targeted prospects to you, without pushing your opportunity down their throats.
I understand that the training in Empower Network is top-notch and the products are second to none.
Now, how come most of the members don’t know how to promote this system using the right attraction marketing strategies?
Moving on…
In this post, I’m going to share exactly why I’m not joining Empower Network.
1. Personal Branding
I have spent the last couple of years, working on building my own brand and I don’t think I have done badly. What do you think?
I have created my blog to build my own brand. There is only one me and I’m using my blog to set me apart and to allow people to connect with me as a real person.

Personal branding is critical when you’re building your business online. People always buy YOU first, then your products or services.
I have built a strong online presence – just google my name! I’m everywhere, literally. Yes, I’m not a “guru” like David Wood, but people know who I am and keep coming back to my blog to learn more and share with their followers.

I have nothing against David, he is an amazing leader – his incredible results say it all. However, I’m not going to start promoting his brand like everyone is doing right now. He currently has thousands of people promoting his brand and growing his online presence more than ever before!
When you visit any Empower Network blog, you get welcomed by a picture of David (half-naked) in the header and the prominent opt-in form featuring his story.
Then, you suddenly realise that someone else (affiliate/member) wrote the posts (not David), as you read the author box.There’s a disconnect!
Would the visitors be interested in/connected with the author (affiliate/member) or David?
See what I mean?
If you’re promoting Empower Network right now, you’re promoting David Wood, not you. You’re creating a buzz around his name, not yours. He is going to be HUGE more than he is at present… What about you?
As a marketer, your goal should be to build Your Inc. And, this is one of the things that Mike Dillard teaches in his revolutionary marketing course, Magnetic Sponsoring.
If you don’t own a copy of this course, then you’re NOT serious about growing your business. If you do, I advise you to read it again. I did recently.
When you have your brand in place, no one will take it away from you – it’s ALL yours. If your company goes bust or something, you still have your own brand – very powerful!
So, I’d rather keep doing what I’m doing now – that is, promoting my own brand and growing my online presence, no matter what it takes. I’m not going to abandon it or dilute it with someone’s.
2. Staying Focused

The huge mistake that marketers usually make is to do everything all at once.
The worst thing that you can do to your business is to try EVERY new marketing tool, product, system that comes out, jump ships or even get involved with multiple opportunities at the same time.
Don’t fall a victim of the “Shiny Object Syndrome”, chasing the latest and the greatest shiny objects.
How on earth will you focus on your business? This is definitely the fastest way to KILL your business! You’ll get nowhere.
When I share my content in the Facebook groups, I always see the walls there covered with the new programmes, new systems, new products and new companies, DAILY.
You know, things like “turn $2 into $20,000 in 30 days”, “turn $10 into $10,000 over and over again” etc.
I never take a look at them. Why? I have everything I need to build my business. Focus is so key.
I have transformed my blog from zero to where it is today, without a paid blogging system (I don’t need one)!
I have developed my own perpetual marketing system that I use to blast my blog into hyperspace and pump endless traffic on a daily basis.
I’ll keep doing what I’m doing because my strategies work and I teach others how to blog so they can duplicate my success too.
Additionally, I have found a cutting-edge online marketing system that works and get my team members to plug in to get the results.
Remember F.O.C.U.S. = Follow One Course Until Successful.
3. Be Different
We all know that almost everyone is promoting Empower Network right now. And, David is a very happy man. Very happy. He has a LOT of people getting his brand out there.
Here’s the thing, when everyone is running in one direction, you run in the opposite or you stay where you are. When they come running back, you’re the one they come back to.

Be unique and get ahead of the pack!
They will know that you’re solid and serious about building your own brand and business.
Don’t go with the flow. Stand your ground and be focused on what’s already working for you.
You gotta ask yourself: “Is what everyone jumping on, future-proof?”, “Are you standing out from the crowd?”
A few days ago, while sharing content in various Facebook groups, I stumbled upon 3 links to blog posts on the same topic, on the different individual Empower Network blogs.
I’m guessing even more members used the very same topic/post.
Those articles are not unique. They are not original.
I’m not sure how this fits in with Google’s way of rewarding blogs containing high quality, well-researched, unique content that offers value to visitors searching for real information.
When it comes to building a successful blog or online business, you need to be original. Don’t do things like everyone else does. Dare to be different and you’ll stand out and attract more traffic, leads and sales.
People are searching high and low for an element of personality that stands out from the crowd – you need to give it to them, by promoting your own brand and grounding your content in who you are.
4. High Expectations
In my honest opinion, I think Empower Network is too hypey. People are made to believe that they only need to create content and they will start generating traffic, leads and sales.
Well, I beg to differ. Successful blogging takes a lot more than that. I’m talking from experience here.
It’s not surprising hearing about members who have no idea how to run their blogs to get the results they are after. I have also seen a thread on Facebook, people asking about what to write about. They have obviously hit writer’s block and need help with blog post ideas.
Granted, there are top marketers who have made thousands of dollars since the inception of Empower Network. Why?
They have an advantage as they are experienced, they know how to market and recruit in their sleep and have a huge following already.
Sadly, it’s being promoted as the solution for the masses. People need to know that it’s going to take hard work, time and effort to get the results.
Let’s take a look at the biggest hype of all time…
5. 100% Commissions
What’s really attracting the masses to Empower Network is the claim that you can make 100% commissions by just blogging.
Now, from what I have learned, it turns out that you have to pass up some sales and forfeit 100% commissions on your second, fourth and sixth sales. So, you only make 100% commissions on your first, third and fifth sales! Huh?!
I definitely don’t want to be passing up 50% of my commissions whilst working on growing my team so I get pass-ups as well.
I honestly thought 100% commissions meant 100% all the way, until I heard otherwise.
The small print is on the actual contract, while their adverts and promotions are leading with 100% commissions.
So, this claim is misleading, if you ask me.

Mavis you have raised some excellent points here. I joined the masses, but I am not interested in posting my content on David Wood’s blog. I want to build my own brand, not his.
And yes they make it sound much easier than it really is. Just posting crap on the Empower Network blog does not make you money. I have not had much success with it yet, although I have covered my membership at least. Every man and his dog already knows about it by now.
I think people need to stop worshipping the gurus and focus more on becoming one of them. And to do that you must build your own brand. It will be interesting to see if it lasts.

It’s great to know there’s someone out there who also shares my views. I completely agree with what you’re saying here. Ever since “Empower Network” came on board, I have literally been approached by loads of people to hop on board (Especially on Facebook).
Like you’ve said, Personal Branding is very vital in this industry, and I don’t see myself flushing all I’ve worked hard to build down the drain just because I’m pushing for an “easy” way to make money. Many of the guys involved won’t admit the flaws with the 100% commissions system, but would rather ignore that and keep blasting social networks with their links.

And quite frankly, I was curious what their 100% commissions entailed yet I knew EN is not where I want my focus to be. So thanks so much for pointing out the real story, all of your sentiments resonated so well with me and I couldn’t have said it better when putting my thoughts out there about EN.
With that being said, I won’t knock anyone either that has joined them or that will but I also know the “fortune is in building your own brand” or “selling YOURSELF” first. In the online journey, that is the only sensible path there is.

LOL!! I laugh because I feel exactly the same way, Mavis. In fact I have just drafted a review on the company. Those that are in seem to be very excited and pleased with the product, and I too have been pitched many times, even saying that I could do this alongside my own primary, and am not even half as popular as you are re blogging so I can ONLY IMAGINE how many times you have had the company presented to you. but I really wasnt sure about the whole idea, leaning towards the negative – for the reasons you so eloquently put here. But I think I have made my decision now. Those that are in and very happy and successful with it, more power to them and i continually wish them all the best. You bring up a lot of good points I agree that there are a lot of people out there that are practicing spammy tactics. I agree it’s lame.
I am in Empower Network And Love It
I think the blogging plate form is great for someone who is just getting started to learn how to blog and learn how to apply attraction marketing principles. I actually use my empower network blog as part of my blog network. I like the idea of getting back links from it. It also makes a fantastic funded proposal.
Network marketers especially need a good funded proposal. –> I think empower network fits that perfectly.
I don’t have a sponsor.. I am always my own sponsor.. so since I don’t have someone above me to ask for advice I study stuff… I bought the Inner Circle and the Costa Rica and I am in the 15k formula now..
I have spent thousands of dollars online learning.. The information in the empower network really can help someone go from zero to hero….
2 things a newbie doesn’t have.. Credibility and Influence.. People need to make money now, not in 6 months from now… Empower network provides both.
I don’t mind passing up because I know the people I bring in will pass up to me so its all good. It’s a lot easier than running your own affiliate program. I will gladly pass up to save myself the headache.
What I really love the most about Empower Network is it gives me a plate form where I don’t have to worry about creating a product or sales process. I can do what I love to do and that is to teach other people how to fish. Ya and the money is a nice perk !

Passing up commissions is not the issue here. I’m familiar with this type of compensation plan, been there, done that!
I have a problem with the 100% commissions claim. They’re not 100%, are they? You have to build your team first, so you can get their pass-ups as well. So, they need to lose this claim, it’s hypey and misleading.

I must say I admire your courage for coming up with this post…..I think you have narrated precisely what most people are thinking but not saying and I totally agree with you.
Network marketing is about duplication…. aiming to get a team of people to do some simple tasks over and over for a period of time. Empower Network does not sound to me like such a simple process and I honestly can not encourage a downline that’s an internet marketing newbie to plug into it.
Rather than focusing on building their business….really helping their downlines many have lost focus by chasing 100% commission (which really isn’t 100%). I must say I do sometimes wonder how long this would be around for. Whilst I can understand and appreciate the funded proposal notion, I also think EN is a system that takes your time, energy and focus away from your business. There are enough distractions out there already…
Like you said, the key to success in this industry is attraction marketing and you can not attract anyone if they don’t know who you are. Common! Why would I want to keep promoting someone’s brand instead of building mine and getting my face out there?
Indeed there are fantastic tools and very proficient individuals that can share their knowledge inside Empower Network. It is also an excellent means for people to make money. However network marketers need to be very careful and not embrace it as a means to creating wealth in their MLM career because it is not.

Hi Mavis, I am also a “non-joiner”. Like you, I have spent a lot of time and effort building up my own brand. I agree with what you are saying about branding yourself instead of branding someone else.
However, I think the Empower Network may help someone with a brand new blog. Since their blog is so new, they may benefit from posting on the Empire Network blog as well. Since the Empire blog is more mature and recognized, that post may get a higher ranking in Google. Of course, this is a generalization and some people can rank high in Google with a new blog. And you would have to weigh the benefits with the costs.
That’s one of the pluses I see. But I would definitely always recommend to have your own blog/brand.
I also get a lot of offers to join in – but I’m staying focused on what I’m currently doing. Thanks for posting your unbiased review!

Wow Mavis Great post!
I can honestly say, there is nobody I respect more in the blogging world than you. I have learned a ton just being plugged in and reading your content. You are a true leader in every sense of the word. I also will someday get that guest blog post written…..lol
However, I do believe that empower network provides great value to someone getting started and wants to learn blogging. I have the training and quite frankly, the training is insane good and those that don’t have it should seriously consider it just for that reason.
The platform is simple, easy to use, and a great way for someone to get started in blogging without having to learn all the technical set up. I will be honest though, I will never stop using my personal blog for personal branding purposes and as a long term business nerve center. I am still 100% set on the fact that a self hosted Wordpress blog is the way to go for long term business success. I believe this because even with Empower Network, you still don’t have total control over your blog. My personally branded blog has produced several thousands of dollars worth of revenue for me over the past year and I equate it to my personal real estate online. It came from hard work, serious sweat equity, and determination, but thats what it takes.
The other point is that I totally am with you on creating your own products and selling them for 100% Commissions but the fact is you have established your authority already and someone just starting out doesn’t have that authority yet, and it can take some serious work to do it. I am not discounting the fact that it takes massive hard work and dedication to succeed in anything. But creating your own product can take awhile to put together and that is not a skill that everybody has on day one. Just learning how to blog can be overwhelming in and of itself. So I believe this system to be a good starting point for those that want to start blogging, but don’t have the knowledge yet to do it.
The truth of the matter is, the Empower Network is a funded proposal system for blogging. Plain and simple. The funded proposal is nothing new and we all use it our business in way or another.
As far as branding someone else, the truth is when ever you use any type of system built by someone else, you will always be branding them in one way or the other. Even MLSP as great as the system is still brands the owners as they are ones on the webinars each week and basically everywhere throughout the system. Don’t get me wrong, I love it! The key is utilizing that community or a community like Empower Network to network with others and build your brand that way. I believe using The Empower Network for the same thing is a smart move.
What I see here in this post of yours is your annoyance with people pitching you……..lol. While I am so with you on that one because I hate people pitching me, the training that the Empower Network provides is no holds barred awesome. It’s really a MLSP for blogging. I personally recommend it and thinks its worth the investment.
In the end, I believe there plus’s and minus’s to the system, but for someone just starting out, I think its a great solution. Just my humble opinion.

Do you know what would a make difference? If this was a blogging training platform, teaching people how to blog, using their own self-hosted blogs ONLY, without branding anyone else. No hype.
I don’t think that the founders have ill-intentions, but the hypey claims and the other factors I have mentioned in the post are making Empower Network lose its appeal.
Agreed, I don’t expect anyone to create their own products on day one. I’m just showing the power of selling your own products, giving you real 100% commissions. When I got started online, I didn’t have my own products to promote. In fact, the thought never crossed my mind. Like most marketers, I promoted other people’s products. I still do to this day. If a product works well for me, I recommend it to my readers.
I hear what you’re saying about systems like MLSP. However, you need your own blog to promote your brand, share your own story, showcase your skills and knowledge. People should focus on starting and growing their own blogs. I could never manage more than one blog successfully.

Aloha Mavis, I suppose I’ll be one to say, you’re right, who are we branding the other person or ourselves. But I realize there are so many people trying to make it and these are desperate times to want to get in the gold rush like the stock market news. The Financial agent, say jump in and if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can get slaughtered without being educated enough to know what is on the other end. I guess we have to live and learn, which is part of life. I would think the ones who are profiting is the ones that knows how to market online and not the masses.

I;m to selfish in a good way to give the glory to another person and I don’t have the heart to hurt others in such away of big promises. I won’t say we are dealing with children but mature adults and we all have to make our own decisions and choices. Thanks for the post Mavis. I totally agree. I have had my suspicions about Empower Network and many other online businesses that really don’t even have a “real” product behind them. Pretty much just handing the money over and making the leaders rich giving many beginners and newbies false hopes with ongoing high monthly fees and no real value.
I’ve done and seen it all myself but if you want to make money online then it’s exactly what Mavis said. You have to start with YOU. It’s all about attraction marketing and offering your service, expertise, knowledge, passion or your product first before the money comes in.
The internet has given people false hope that you can make money fast at the click of a button with next to no investment. If you’re looking to just make money fast online then it ain’t gonna happen. You’ll spend more than you ever make and you’ll spin in circles.
I’ve learnt it’s a process of creating, building and developing your own business and it will cost you something but it doesn’t have to send you broke first. It just takes time and consistency.
I started making money online with my own website I built (www.womens-relationship-suceesss.com) which brings me great affiliate and adsense commissions. From there I created my blog and I still continue to earn and learn.
I’m the tortoise and not the hare but I continue to move forward while building my own online presence and showing people how I make money from home around my 2 small children.
I definitely recommend any newbies out there to NOT just follow (like I did too often) but to do something you’d really enjoy, what you’re passionate about and create a website or blog. Start off small and then build your business.

Hi Mavis, how are you? Very good post Mavis and from my standpoint I do agree. With that said however, I understand also as some of the commentators say above that a newbie has to start somewhere.
I personally started out with a company that I am still with and have been for about four years. What I will say is that I learned a lot… not in my case necessarily from the company with the exception of awesome personal development, (the marketing training is basic)… but because I had something to market I put my head down and learned as much as I could to find ways to market it myself and put it into practice.
This did two things, it not only allowed me to get ahead but I also was able to pass the knowledge down to my partners and subsequently built a training site and lead them through the getting started process until they could take the training wheels off and branch out as I have done.
When I started (again four years ago) i did initially make the mistake of associating my name with the company… when I figured out that I was ‘marrying’ myself to the company I soon stopped.
since then I focused on branding Jayne and have taken other training that has allowed me to become more or less a stand alone coach but still enjoy my business opportunity in the ‘background’ but it’s not my primary focus. Helping people get going is more where I’m at but the program itself is what makes the company worth while in that it teaches self growth is very empowering…not to mention the rewards are great once you get the wheels turning.
I am hoping this year will be the year I follow in your footsteps and put something together that is solely mine over and above the training.
with regards to marketing biz opps, I have never been one for ‘passing up initial sales to others either…my company doesn’t require that so I wasn’t put off by the thoughts of working hard to pass up my first sales… if that were the case I honestly don’t think I would have joined.
The bombardment from some of the folks at EN is certainly a frustration but it goes to show that many of them who market it (not all) just haven’t figured it out the right way yet.
I have been honored to watch you grow Mavis and you certainly are the poster child of consistency, focus and hard work and I always take my hat off to you even though we don’t rub shoulders as much as we did last year.
This year we’ll hopefully see each other a bit more as I’m on your tail baby!

There’s nothing wrong with using EN or any other system out there, to learn the ropes, take advantage of the opportunity to tap into the multiple income streams, while building your brand.
As I said, I believe that the training in EN is great, no doubt. The major issue I have is branding someone else. People need to fully customise their EN blogs to reflect their brand, their story and what they are all about, to connect with their prospects at that level. Don’t you think?

Mavis you hit nail right on head. I think Oprah once give this advice to someone wanting to get into television, she said “be yourself”. I am getting weary also of all the cookie cutter looking blogs. I notice that you were keeping your blog out of that mode. You might be using the same marketing system, but you don’t even market the system. I do pay attention to what is going on.
I try not to follow the crowd too. How on earth are we going to standout from amongst the crowd. It can be scarey in the beginning, but you get noticed when you do.
Also, you said focusing is important. This is being drilled into my head. My up-line drills this into us. It so drilled in my head, that I have found myself telling other, when they come with the business opportunities, I have enough my plate.

Hi Mavis, I’m so glad you wrote this article. I agree with you 100%. Well, only on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th points, but 100% none-the-less! :O)
Don’t you wish it was as easy as they say it is to just write a blog post and people will flock to your page and join your opportunity and you’ll be rich in no time? Hmmmm. Isn’t this the same thing some of these heavy hitters tell you when you join their Network Marketing opportunity? Just join and we’ll build it for you and in 3 weeks you’ll be able to retire!!
But honestly, look at what’s happening here. There’s a reason you’ve received 1000s of emails trying to get you to join…. The business model of Empower Network is not geared towards helping people build their brand and thus build their primary business, it’s geared towards getting people to join Empower Network itself… And what happens is that Empower Network actually becomes the primary opportunity… It’s brilliant if you look at it from David Wood’s point of view, but not so brilliant for the average networker. And because there’s no real backbone to the system, it will eventually come crashing down and it will be David Wood who walks away rich, not Joe Networker.

I too have seen Empower Network all over the place and I took a look at it, investigated it and made a decision that it is not for me. I am not a MLM marketeer-I’m a life coach. In my profession I have to have a personal brand and my brand is my company. I can not be apart of anything that takeaway from that. I can imagine the confused look on y clients faces if they ever saw me on a site like that. However, I wish great success for those who have joined EN.

EN is certainly the talk of the town, there is no question
Banner ads, PPC, Facebook groups etc etc you couldn’t avoid it if you tried.
The majority of internet marketing training course that I have seen online all suggest building your own brand first and foremost.
Brand you, You Inc, Give yourself the X factor.
By using EN your time and energies will be taken off your primary business and as you correctly pointed out your focus will be lost.
B.T.W I love your Focus On One Course Until Succesfull acroynym.
Setting up, running and creating unique content for your personal self hosted blog on a daily basis can be overwhlming for many but the simple fact is unless you start the journey then you will never reach the end.
Other systems, tools and programs will just be a distration.

Amen to this Mavis and I was seriously considering writing a similar post.
I love this industry I really do. I also love helping people learn the difference between what is right and what is wrong when it comes to this industry. I even have a very good friend who is successful in this industry promoting it and wanting me to join. I’m torn, honestly. I see the benefit of it for some people but on the other hand if you are here to build your brand than you are shooting yourself in the foot but building David’s instead.
Heck, I even have a free training site that will walk you through how to create your first blog and if you have problems you can just email me. Does it get any easier then that? Honestly, no more excuses people. Why are you really here? If it’s just to make some money and you don’t care about anything else then I say go for it. If you are here to build you, then I say big mistake. Is the money really that important to you?

Great post, I can really relate to what you are saying. Now just to make you aware, I did in fact join Empower Network at the low level ($25.00 membership). My thought process was to get inside the doors for a better look.
I agree with all your points especially in regards to branding “me” versus branding someone else and building their “list” so to speak, but being on the curious side I decided it was best I have a look in order to make an educated and informed decision as to whether I would pursue EN as a stream of income.
I also belonged to a “marketing funnel” program (MLSP) in the past which also proved to be more about building a list for the program owner(s) as well as promoting their brand versus mine.
I have since ended my MLSP membership and for the same reasons I will be ending my EN membership which basically cost me $25.00 to satisfy my curiosity. Sometimes you end up spending money to save money just so you don’t have lingering questions hanging about.
I really enjoyed the straightforwardness of your post; it only adds to my decision not to go forward with EN and I also will not do so with similar programs in the future as they become copy cats of each other in so many aspects.

Mavis, Mavis, you have done it again. We must be related somehow, LOL! In a way, this post makes me think of the post I just got done writing about why the rich rule over the poor….. I have heard of EN as well, but realized that F.O.C.U.S is where my business is at. It took too long to develop my brand, establish trust, build a vision to sacrifice it chasing every wind of opportunity not matter how good it may be. Some want fast-flash success by riding on the coat tails of other people.
The true way is “old fashioned work ,” as you said. The one thing I enjoy, despite the challenges, is that the Brand is mine, the heart behind the brand is mine, the content is mine, and the comments are from people who feel helped by me and my brand. It is not all about “just getting traffic” but attracting traffic that are looking for the value you offer.

Your dead on Mavis.. I was at LTD and unfortunately was taken advantage of by David Wood on stage with his 6 training webinar sale for $47 that turned out to be a upsell to Empower Network that he was blasting to his list for FREE.
I heard he just needed something to sell on stage and that over 300 people bought it. I had to cancel my credit card since their were no refunds. I thought I could trust it because it was part of MLSP event! I guess I was wrong!
I am so glad you wrote this post so I could also share my personal story about it. I was jumped all over at LTD even though everyone had to sign a form saying they would not pitch each other. I feel David Wood really crossed the line and I know for a fact that their were many complaints of fraud for this marketing ploy.
I do not want anything to do with Empower Network and frankly I am really sick of seeing it. I really like what you said about promoting David Wood with a blog header with him and his gf half naked. Too hilarious!
I congratulate David for his success but feel their is a huge lack of integrity with Empower Network ad him. I also believe it will be very short lived and so do many other top marketers. I give it til April,,
I have been thinking all the same objections as to why I would not join EN as you but much more since my bad experience at LTD. It is garbage like this that gives our Industry a bad reputation. Making false claims and promises alone should shut it down.
Oh well, this is a touchy topic for me as you can see and I have talked to so many that never made anything. Another thing about the 100% commissions is that if you join for less then the upgraded package and you sponsor someone that comes in at a higher price bracket you also lose the commission it seeks up to the next person that came in for the higher package. I have been by your blog before it’s a good place to hang out. I personally use empower network in addition to my personal blog. I’m new to the industry and in a lot of ways I wish Empower Network was there when I first got started.
The training is as good as some other programs out there or better. Also everyone has to start somewhere and chances are we will be selling somebody else’s product. Very few people come out of the gate with something to sell. Even to get started we need to talk about what the company is doing, our team is doing, almost anything but ourselves.
Why? Because we have no credibility in the industry yet. So I ask what’s the difference if I brand the Daves, Mavis, my upline, or MLSP? Until we get a little success under our belt we need to burrow from somewhere.
So I use EN to give juice to my personal blog or if I want a article to rank I know I can put it on the EN back link the heck out of it and it’ll rank way higher then my personal blog.
At the end of the day EN is a tool for me it’s a good one. Your own mileage may vary.
As for the spammers I don’t know if anyone else has noticed this but I get spammed from every kind of business on the planet. In the end there good marketers and there are bad ones just like everything else.

Even I am relatively new to this online world, I got polite invitation to join EN too. I checked out a few things and soon realised that going down that track would further distract me from DOING the essential tasks that I have been focusing on since joining MLSP a few months ago.
I am 100% with you regarding personal branding… and working on self. By BECOMING an expert, we can then create our own brand of products if we choose to. For me, creating a product for sale is not even on my agenda because my main focus is in getting leads. I rather share my offline experiences and give value to others. I am also learning to get more traffic to my blog. I am proud to say that I have been staying F.O.C.U.S.

Yes, we have seen the hype and we can remember the same hysteria about other schemes, some we even believed for a period of time. As soon as you see strange twists in the remuneration fine print it should be a warning to all to run a mile!
Anyone who says anyone can make money blogging with these simple steps is not being honest. It takes dedication, study, talent, a comprehensive understanding of SEO, big and effective social media usage, more study, more hours than you could possibly have and a certain amount of personality, oh… and more study!
And anyone with a bit of history in the online field will already know that Google is not happy about being spammed with lots of useless content – how long can that last when related to a particular brand? (remember the Google slap! Or Panda!)
OK Rant over! I agree 100% with you Mavis but that will not help those who are desperate to find a way to “Get rich quick”!

Mavis, I agree with some of what you wrote. Yes, producing your own products is the best way to go, no argument there! You do have a couple of facts a little bit foggy.
First, you can customize the Empower blog and get rid of David’s photo as the header, it is after all, a wordpress theme. You can also buy a domain name and forward/mask your URL, further branding yourself.
The training as you said, is second to none, making this a worthwhile investment. Having the ability to resell it makes it an investment that you can easily make back. The pay plan is simple and yes there are “pass ups”. Your 2nd, 4th, 6th, 10th and every 5th after that are passed up to your enroller. This should make everyone jump for joy because this factor can put big money in your pockets! Remember, abundance thinking…
You have done a remarkable job in your branding and I admire you for your accomplishments, kudos! The Empower system can help people brand themselves and make money. For those who already have a blog well, the Empower blog can actually help “push” your content higher on Google. I’ve used this method on several posts to help get me to the top faster!
The Empower Network is hard to explain, you just need to try it. It’s quite a bit like trying to describe what chocolate tastes like…you can’t describe it, it’s just really, really good!

Yes, I agree Mavis. Branding yourself needs to be done on the Empower Blog and from what I’ve now been told, this feature is being worked on. You see the original programmers didn’t do a bang up job and some of the blog functions didn’t work and had to be rebuilt by a new programmer. They are working on some customization features such as being able to change the headers, and a few other options. I am very excited to hear that this could be coming very soon.
While all of this is happening and improvements are being made, I have successfully, time and time again used the Empower blog to boost my google positioning for my self hosted wordpress blog. This is worth the $25 per month alone!
By the way Mavis, this is one incredible thread that you’ve got going here! Great article and great way to stir up some activity! You’re awesome and I appreciate you.

thanks for sharing your insights and I love them ! Very refreshing, I must say. The things you mention are so obvious, or, at least, they should be obvious. 100 % commissions. Hahaha. After 30 seconds of a video about the comp plan I received, I knew everything. It has never been as obvious. Further research only proved my initial suspicion. We found out even more interesting stuff about the business model I am unable to share here.

I have been contemplating whether I should join the Empower Network for a while now. I had heard such great things about it, but reading this, it’s really made me second guess myself. I am trying really hard to build ME, INC, and I thought I would be able to do that through the Empower Network, but, even though I haven’t officially joined, I’m getting the emails and I gotta say…I’m not impressed. In fact, the long, drawn-out, sales-y emails are a turn off.
I know we’re all in it to win it, but it seems David is going about it in a pushy manner which I don’t care for.
