Ever heard of Blog Engage?
Well, it’s one of the niche social bookmarking sites that you can use to drive targeted traffic back to your blog.
You’re probably used to social bookmarking sites such as Reddit, StumbleUpon, Digg and the like. Now, what are the chances
Don’t get me wrong, you can still get some exposure and drive traffic back to your blog, however, I have found that the niche social bookmarking sites offer great benefits:
- You can focus on using the social bookmarking networks in your niche. For example, blogging, internet marketing, small business etc.
- Mingle with and learn from the best of the best in your niche. Hang out with like-minded individuals.
- Join a community of members with one goal – to help each other to stand out and drive more blog traffic.
They are a great platform for internet marketing professionals to hang out, exchange ideas and share and promote each others’ content. However, not all of them are the same. You want to get involved with the highly recommended sites with smart marketers.
I have joined 5 of them:
And, the spotlight is on Blog Engage, this month. You’ll see why in a moment.
Blog Engage – The Blogging Community and Social Network
Blog Engage is a social bookmarking network and community created for bloggers, founded by my very good friend and fellow blogger, Brian Belfitt.
Blog Engage currently has around 6000 members and attracts 21,000 unique visitors per month. It allows members to submit their articles for review and promotion. The most popular story has received 106 votes!
The categories include blogging, business and marketing, technology, health and fitness, environmental and so forth.
Stories on the home page receive an average of 20 to 30 votes and can also be shared to the other networks, giving them even more exposure.
Blog Engage also runs a blog which covers blogging, marketing, entrepreneurship among other topics.
There are regular guest blogging contests that you should definitely take advantage of to promote your blog and network with other bloggers.
How Does Blog Engage Work?
When you join Blog Engage, you’ll “meet” other like-minded individuals and experts in your niche. There is no need to feel alone and think that no one cares about you although you put a lot of effort and time into building your blog and business.
You can now join niche social bookmarking communities such as Blog Engage, giving you a platform to share your content, engage with the other bloggers, drive traffic and grow your blog.
Imagine, what would hanging out with the blogging experts do to your blog? They are there to point you in the right direction so you can improve your blog for maximum results.
In addition, if you’re an active member, you get featured in the sidebar and gain some exposure.
There’s also a point system which enables you to earn some points for submissions, votes, comments etc. A minimum of 100 Karma points are need before any article will be published on the home page.
When I saw the benefits that come with these blogging communities, I didn’t hesitate to join. I have met incredible people, I keep learning from others, building relationships and attracting more eyeballs to my content.
Blog Engage – Getting Started
You will need to create your own account and your profile, like you would on the social media sites, using your own picture for branding.
You can add other members and friends and take the initiative to interact with them by voting and commenting on their stories, participating in the forums, using the “chat” facility and sending personal messages (no spam allowed).
Blog Engage’s RSS Services
With the Blog Engage’s RSS Service, your content gets syndicated automatically, giving you quality backlinks every month. You can add up to 5 unique blog feeds
You also get a free ebook entitled “SEO Marketing for Blogging” and have your blog added into the featured content area “slider” every month, giving you maximum exposure.
Additionally, you will also have the opportunity to earn from all your syndicated blog articles as this is a Google Adsense Revenue Sharing community. On all your syndicated story pages at Blog Engage your Google Ads will be displayed when visited from any Blog Engage member or search engine traffic.
Sounds good, but how much does it cost per month to enjoy these benefits?
